Sounds like an "urban tale" - sort of mix of:fresco - (wet wall - wet plaster)
see "Fresco Technique Overview"
http://truefresco.com/workshop/why_fresco_technique.html
mural - (painted on canvas in the studio which is later applied (glued) to the wall)
see http://iladesigns.com/lessons_murals_ila.html
and "monotype painting" (not sure about English translation)
First painting is done on the glass then, while paint is still wet a paper/canvas is layed over, pressed and removed, resulting imprint on the paper/canvas is the artwork - lots of fun you surely can do in the class... however this type of painting is generraly small if done in acrylic paints - dries too fast.
You will need oil to make a big size that can be considered a mural.
