#0, sealant to use
Posted by gettin by on 25-Sep-05 at 07:21 AM
I am currently working on a table top for a designer. I recieved it primed. Painted a dark undercoat with latex added the crackle and topped with another coat of latex. Crackle was fine, added a map and then added a glaze with an acrylic to add an antiqued wash effect. Problem is I am having a hard time finding a suitable sealant. This is a table that will be used as a coffee table. Wet drinks and spills WILL happen. Anyone have a recommendation? THe crackle seems to lift with the waterbased polyurethane. Will an oil base poly pucker the map? I just want to finish this.......
