Friend, you share more resemblances with a monkey Because I smile and you frown like orange peels Because I talk and you lie down extended like a fallen bananna tree Because the many things you do frustrate me like a dog Except you glance towards the right corner of the sky Like my father, who is a thoughtful man.

You are blind to my heart, folded in an old mother's hands Tenderly wrapping every fragile part,to protect my best laid plansYou see, I fear every person, from experiences I knew Such as being stabbed with hate, from a love I pursued So I try to act random, and separate from all Hoping to defend a burning fortress that soon, surely will fall Therefore I ask for your patience before you mock and jest And I will come before you gladly, as a friendly guest.

Yo, your poem is really something! it's light on the surface but definitely has a lot of underlying tones there. it's straight and unpretentious but it's really saying something without being too vulgar. i enjoyed it! keep writing! www.paintingsonline.blogspot.com
