Hello all! I am trying to locate any information in English on this artist. Recently an aquaitance came across a piece of art by this artist. It is extremely old. It is a drawing or sketch of Magere Brug,Or I believe it to be. Someone had told this person that during the war one of this artists art works was lost. It was evidently found when someone was refurbishing a house and thrown into a trash pile. It appears to be have hidden inside the wall. Any info would be so helpful. I will be getting a photo of this piece and will try and post it.Thanks so much msnayray2

I have a painting by Salomon Garf that I bought in Amsterdam several years ago. The painting is of a dutch girl knitting, walking in a field. It was painted very early in the 20th century. The painting is fairly dark so it needs to well lit. The landscape arround the the figure looks like Holland (dark and rainy). The dealer showed me a short bioschetch in a book he had, which I have somewhere. Garf was Jewish and died in Aushwitz.
