Hi, does anyone know of any resources for the German artist Peter Wever? I have some of his work on cards, but would like to see a catalogue.

I was looking for references to Mr Wever too after buying a card of 'Wie ein Block'
I found this site:
http://www.kunst-posterhaus.de/wever.htm

If you find any others, let me know!

Regards
Petra

Greetings,

I don't know if this helps or not, but my wife and I both love Wever's work, and we have some reproductions printed as cards. They originate from Holland (Arnhem, if my memory serves me aright) where there is an art dealer who specialises in this stuff. When I last spoke to him a couple of years ago, he had some originals to sell. The cards carry the imprint on the rear of Art Revisited, and a telephone number (00)31 504 032 375.

Best of luck.

W

I too have looked everywhere for his work. There are a few web sites to his reference however they are in German as he originates from Berlin.

I have found that cards may be purchased on-line at www.goodlifecards.com under the publisher - Rembrants Hats. They have a selection of 3.

good luck

Just to say, I looked up the goodlifecards.com you recommended for Peter Wever's cards but the website seems to be completely different from what you said it would be - is your address right?
Would be great to know!
Thanks.
Julie

Peter Wever sells about 35 different original colour etchings by now, all numbered and signatured. Prices per piece between 180 to 400 EURO. There is no catalogue, no offset prints or fotos, posters ect. The cards or prints you are talking about are at least 8 years old and are not being printed anymore. contact me for further infos and purchase, in case you are from the continent. In England I would recommend the Railings Gallery, London: trg@railings-gallery.com

It was great to read that I wasn't the only one who loves this artists work. How disappointing that he is not appreciated world wide. I will keep checking back to this site in the hope that someone somewhere has more information.

I am an art dealer in the Pacific Northwest and looking for Peter Wever. I purchased his work at Art Expo in New York a few years back and have lost contact with my source. Does anyone know how I might contact him? I have a client waiting patiently for images.

I have a number of etchings by Peter Wever. I held a small show for him in Boston a few years back and he sold very well.

I am sure he would allow me to sell pieces that were left from the show, but I will ask him. If you are interested and I can send you information and photos of the color and overpainted images.

>Hello.
I just found your message..had not logged in for awhile. I do have some of Peter's work for sale here in the USA. I will need to check to see if I have "Embrace" which is probably the translation of "Unarmung". If you are interested, I will look and check prices. Do you want the price in US Dollars?

Do you still have access to Peter Wever's catalogue? I'd love to get hold of one. I live in Wales, but I very much doubt there is anything nearby on him!
Thanks.
Julie
