of Peter Hurd

Born: Roswell, New Mexico, 1904

Attended: New Mexico Military Institute, United States Military Academy, Haverford College.

Studied Art: Penncylvania Academy of Arts; student of N. C. Wyeth.

Represented in collections of: Metropolitan Museum, New York; Chicago Art Institute; National Gallery of Scotland; William Rockhill Nelson Gallery, Kansas City; Peter Hurd Wing, Roswell Museum, Roswell, New Mexico; West Texas Museum, Lubbock. Many other museums and private collections.

Mural Paintings: U. S. Post Office murals: Big Spring, Texas; Alamogordo, New Mexico. Also New Mexico Military Institute; Albert G. Simms residence, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Prudental Building, Houston, Texas.

Member: National Academy; American Water Color Society.
