I LA Design Services specializes in two manifestations of Trompe L'oeil ("To fool the eye" French) - "Trompe L'oeil Murals" and "Ornamental Trompe L'oeil".

"Trompe L'oeil Murals" - Trompe L'oeil is an organic part of mural painting and depending on a skill of an artist elements of Trompe L'oeil are used in the majority of the murals. Steps in creating of Trompe L'oeil Mural are similar to a regular mural, please refer to the Mural Section of this site for the steps, procedures and samples of mural and/or trompe l'oeil mural commission.
"Ornamental Trompe L'oeil" - unlike Trompe L'oeil Mural where trompe l'oeil elements are used to enhance the illusion of depth and to erase the transition between the real and painted world, Ornamental trompe L'oeil is dedicated to alter the appearance of the real objects adding depth, relief, ornamentation to otherwise flat surfaces. Most popular areas of ornamental trompe l'oeil are beams, niches, friezes, ceiling and wall perimeters and such. I LA Design services offers variety of solution to cost effective enhancements of space and objects (including furniture) through ornamental trompe l'oeil.

Steps in Creating Trompe L'oeil:

1. Development of the layout and design - BW rendering/drawing is produced for the client for the initial approval of the trompe l'oeil designs and positioning of elements. When all elements of the project become clear to both parties, final rendering and/or scaled color study is developed and delivered to the client for the Final Approval. (When necessary, images of the "work in progress" are also posted in CLIENT CENTER.)

2. Painting - after the final rendering is approved by the client we begin painting of the commissioned work. Painting is done on location therefore setup and scaffolding charge may apply.

I LA Design Services offers competitive pricing and although we are not "the cheapest kid in town" European training of our lead artists allows us to maintain our rates at 10-20% below the average market standard.

Payment Schedule:

1. Initial Deposit - 15% of the total cost of the project, due on contract signing.
2. Production Deposit - 50% of the total cost of the project, due when the final rendering is approved.
3. Final Payment - balance, due on completion.

For your convenience we accept credit card payments online at our CLIENT CENTER
