#0, Joining Giornatas.

Okay, so Ive mastered the Glass surface technique. The tip you gave me on how to get the charcoal through the pouncings on the vertical surface with the little pom pom charcoal ball was great. I just used an old worn t-shirt and tied it together with a hair elastic. And Ive pretty much completed my first 8 ft x 2.5 ft fresco of a copy of Botticelli's venus just to get started. Ive done it in 4 Giornatas just to be carefull and to get the feel for it. I will post a picture of it later so you can see and maybe give some advise or what not on it. But now I need to know how to join my sections without having huge crevices, and one side higher than the other. I know it has somehting to do with beveling, but i really don't know what that is. Could you please explain? would be really lovely of you. I also have another problem of the same area. When im spreading my new intonaco and joining it to a previous giornata im getting Lime on the edges of the painting and making a mess of it. Im guessing im supposed to leave some unpainted area around each giornata i do, like a safe space in order to prevent this. But maybe you could let me know how exactly it is done. But i gotta admit, its really comming along and I love it. I wouldn't be over exagerating if i said fresco dominates my thoughts on a daily and nightly basis. Its great. I think the people around me are getting a little tired about hearing of it. But they will just have to make-do because i am in love and have found my Lifes Work. I have so many more questions, but little by little. Thank you so much for your help. Withought it i would be in a rediculous situation.
