a website functioning as a visual response to the events and aftermath of 9/11/01.

In times such as we are living in now, art is of the utmost importance. Some of it will heal, some will provide hope, some will convey anger and some a political message, it is all important. In addition to images made in response to 9/11, the site includes work created previously which responds to the devastation.

theARTproject has two sections: exhibition and discussions:
The exhibition consists of pages of thumbnails, from which you can view a larger version of each image and information of the artist’s choosing.
The discussions gives participating artists an opportunity to continue to submit work or to respond to another piece on the site, much like an on-line forum.
