I am looking for advice on how to make more $ as a freelance artist. People who have seen my work say that it is good. But I am not sure who I should be showing it to. Also I am concerned that I may not have a particular enough style. I have tried not to worry about this, figuring that I would fall into my own style over time. I do portraits, figures landscapes in oil mostly. They a colorful, emotive and focus on overall composition and content of an individual image. How does one go about getting art jobs in advertising,publishing or illustration- can I get there from a fine art background ( as opposed to graphic design?) Is there anyone out there to shed some light on my path?
