Hello All -- I recently acquired an oil painting signed Vlasta Byrtus. He or she may have died in Erie, PA in May of 1999. In the obituary, the name Ann Landergott appeared. Would appreciate anything you may know of this artist. Thanks, Jack

Hello, Jack,I've been thinking about Vlasta a lot lately and I googled her at work yesterday. This was the first link I clicked on. I knew Vlasta for a short time in 1982. She lived in Edinboro, where I was living and working and going to college. Hi Jack- Although I see you posted this almost six years ago, I do have some information. Vlasta was primarily a watercolor artist. She lived on a farm and went to school at Edinboro University where she got an art degree shortly before her death at 90 years old. I have three of her watercolors and went to a couple of her shows. Diverse and talented lady. I doubt if there is any great value in her work today as a collectible, but it was nice to follow her in her artistic journey.
