I am a metal sculptor here in Wilmington, North Carolina. I have been working in steel and stainless steel for about 5 years. I came across a term used in metal sculpture called "thermal metal folding." I have never heard of this technique, but it sounds like an interesting approach to forming steel into unuasual forms. If anyone knows anything about this, I would be very interested to discuss this method of moving metal.
