Hi,
I'm trying to budget a fresco project. I'll be working on dsp board. I was wondering if the arrecchio layer is necessary on board.? The panel will be about 8'x4'.

I promise to post some images of my fresco work in Italy a little later. www.nathanwasserbauer.com has lots of stuff too.
Thanks,
Nathan Wasserbauer

It depends on the size and the composition - you want to have enough time to start and finish and proper circulation of moisture for the pigment to stick. Also the plaster
wont adhere to the board properly unless you secure it with mesh and if you do it will not be intonaco anymore...
