#0, Older Artists getting on the internet
Posted by kent r hiaic on 07-Sep-05 at 11:47 AM
I have been a lover of all forms of art for over 30 years and only recently I have gained acess to the internet. It has been an eye opening experience that has aloud me to interact with allsorts of different styles and ideas of art. This experience has fostered some questions about if the internet is creating a equal playing field for all artists. I believe that is a grate opportunity for all butt it is hard for those older artistes that may be less tech savvy then there younger counterparts. I started thinking about this when a friend of mine who is in his fifties launched a web page for the first time. The web page is <www.rcaitken.com>, now to be honest he had help creating the web page but getting it known out in cyber space has been hard for him. So I wanted to know what this community has to say about us older artist making our first foray in to the world of the internet art society, do we stand a chance against those who hold equal ability with brush as mouse, or do we stand to be second Fiddle?
