Hi, I'm looking to buy some cobalt blue pigment and do not see it available in the larger set of pigments? I need cobalt blue for my next project. I would buy the large pigment set immediately if I could see cobalt blue is among the colors. It seems a basic color to me... Thank you. Linda:)

Hi Linda!

We did not include cobalt blue because it would add an additional $50 or so to the cost while being not quite necessary. Cad. red and Cad. yellow are not easy to replace with other pigments. Blues are different - We have two "blues" in a large set: ultramarine - cold blue and "light blue" (our studio color) - warm blue.
Cobalt blue is somewhat in the middle (tone wise)
We can send you Bianca di Vincenza - (rare almost white earth color good to soften blues and lighten fleshtones) and split some red oxide from the set with violetto di marte - good color to "shift" blues or use as it is.

We composed our large set with all traditional fresco colours necessary (atleast that what we use ourselves).
We omitted few "repeating" colors referring to our experience as well as suggestions of our studio's Italian supplier.

If you specifically determined about cobalt we can get some for you and add it to the set. Please email off the forums (use this icon above) and we will setup a one-time payment link for you.

PS. Will you post some pics of your frescoes?...
