"intonaco too wet?"

I have just mixed up my intonaco - 1 part sand :1 part lime putty- I think I added a touch too much water...Can anyone tell me- will it just take longer to dry- or will it not dry well - should I have added a little sand to the mix?
Thanks !

with this mix 1 to 1 you do not need to add water at all, also you should start with 1 lime 2 sand mixture and NO WATER added.

Work your way up to the "fatter" more lime mix if you want but 1limeX2sand is just enough:

Not a very big problem, just wait a bit more and you'll have a perfect surface for painting.

I sometimes pour the entire amount of intonaco, if it is too wet, on a thick layer of newspapers, wait a few minutes, the water will be soaked out. After that you can use the intonaco like normal.
