"Guest Artist" - for the artists contributing to the TrueFresco.com in "real life", active contributors to the Cafe al Fresco forums and selected artists TrueFresco.com finds noteworthy for the community.

"Featured Artist" - for the artists - members or represented by members (galleries) of the "30 Top Action Art Sites brought by TrueFresco.com" in good standing.

Requirements and eligibility for the Award:

"Guest Artist" - help us promote the Art of Buon Fresco in the contemporary art world in "real life" and on the Net, and/or contribute to the Cafe al Fresco - TrueFresco.com Art Forums.

To be eligible to give the nomination for the Guest Artist Award to the artist, the nominator must be a member of the TrueFresco.com/net/org administration or recognized contributor to the TrueFresco.com or to the Cafe al Fresco - Art Forums.

"Featured Artist" - must have a website with more than ten images of artworks (for the artists personal site) or more than 5 images of artworks (for the gallery site), bio, exhibition history, statement. If you do not have a website - build one FREE at the TrueFresco.com Art World Community. Artist must be nominated/apply for the Award.

To be eligible to give the nomination for the Featured Artist Award to the artist, nominating site must be a member in good standing of the "30 Top Action Art Sites brought by TrueFresco.com list" and display link/logo to the list on the prominent-visible page of the site (homepage is a good example). Upon approval for the show a "Featured Artist Award" logo must be placed on the featured artist's page, we will link to this page. For the artist to be included in the "Past Featured Artists Directory" award symbol/logo should remain on the same page of your site after the duration of our presentation.

Simply put it works like this - "Guest Artists" are selected by TrueFresco.com and awarded for his/her contribution to the mission of the TrueFresco.com/net/org and his/her artistic merits. "Featured Artists" are selected by members of the "30 Top Action Art Sites brought by TrueFresco.com List". If the member site is your personal artists site - it is OK to nominate your self, since we treat the websites as an entity - Personal Gallery of Mr./Mrs. The Artist (it should be a gallery not just a page with links "Fare is Fare!".

SOME STATS - "Featured/Guest Artist Award" feature runs on every page of over 25% of our site (30 Top Action Art Site List and Cafe al Fresco). We had 150,000 page views in March 2001. Cafe al Fresco adds new pages every hour! So do the math!

To nominate the Artist follow this steps - join the 30 Top Action Art Sites List (click the link below and follow the instructions). Activate your membership by placing the member code on your site and clicking on it - if clicking on the code takes you to the list - you've done everything right (code and instructions provided in "Welcome to the List" email response).

Last step - make a small banner 155X65 for this artist and send it to list@truefresco.com with URL of the featured artist (must be on your site) + short description about the artist (about 4 lines of text).
