"Canvas choices for Murals"
Hello, I am curious about the best surface to use for painting a mural. I have read about using Muslin. Some artists recommend standard primed tara canvas. Also at Indian Coated Fabrics they sell a very thin primed canvas. I need to paint a very large mural, 16 feet by 40 feet. What would you reccommend? Also, i have a very small home studio. And suggestions on how to prime it and paint it in close quarters? I appreciate your help!
Thank you,
Augustina Droze

Muslin is by far the best for acrylic murals - it is strong and thin which makes it somewhat easier to hang.

For oil murals you will need linnen (since oils "eat cotton") you can get thin "Belgum Linnen" in Pearl Paint.

summizing - you need thin material fore easier hanging.
