"Frescoe Class in ITaly?"

   hi,

I am new to this site, and find it amazing! I am a decorative artist, traveling to Europe for a month or so in May. Does anyone know of classes, workshops, in ITALY, or have any ideas where to search? I did the basic internet search, and did not come up with much. I know vigini.com has a workshop, but I am not prepared to spend $4000 on 9 days. I am interested in learning where Leonetto Tintori 's school in Prato is still open?
Does anyone know the name of the school? I am interested in Frescoe and Venetian Plaster classes. Thank you for any help!!

Theresa

Sorry you missed the recent fresco class (May14 -21) given by Annie Taillemite in the Lake Trasimeno region of Tuscany/Umbria. The next class will be held in October 2006 at the same location, Casa San Martino, Lisciano Niccone (1 and 1/2 hours south of Florence). For more information please look at the website:

www.monicawatercolors.com

under the 'Links' page.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the cost and the limited number of students accepted.

Best regards, Monica Perin

   Dear Theresa,

I do know of an Italian restorer who went to this school for three years. The founder is now deceased and the son is on charge. I do have a contact number, but not on me right now. Also do a google search on Luigi Falai. He has a workshop that is fantastic that runs from September until May. I have worked with him closely and also have people who know a lot about the school in Prato. I have some numbers of Americans who have gone to this school and they can tell you more about it. Contact me at trazom34@hotmail.com

Sincerely,

John Keily
