Why an Introduction to Fresco
Class?
After many years of teaching frescos classes, and evaluating the
feedback received from prior students, The Fresco School put
much thought into designing an introductory 3-day workshop.
Three days, we felt was needed to introduce to new students the
very important basics of fresco techniques; the preparation of
the cartoon sketches, applying plaster, technique of mixing and
grinding natural pigments, and the painting process.
|
Introduction to Fresco program
designed to give comprehensive insight and practical
introduction to traditional buon fresco. This workshop will
provide a hands-on fresco painting experience and the foundation
knowledge of the technique
as well as prepare for the higher levels of fresco painting which is
offered in the Professional Class.
3-day
Introduction to Fresco Workshop enables student to
continue working in fresco on a small scale and provides a solid
guide and foundation for further study of the medium.
Introduction to Fresco is a
very flexible program which runs throughout the calendar year
with classes taking place every month.
This workshop takes place in Los
Angeles at The Fresco
School. For Los Angeles residents it has an additional
benefit of added flexibility to attend Day 1 - "Fresco
Cartoon" one week before Day 2 - "Fresco Plaster" and Day 3 -
"Fresco Painting" classes allowing extra time to prepare and
refine their cartoons. This is also a more "travel friendly"
program that can be easily brought to your local college,
university, school or art organization.

6 people. You will
